Parents night out on Friday.

We got a baby sitter and attended a concert with the Watters and Wesches.
It was fantastically musical!

GoPro HD - My new toy.

Smita got me a new toy this last Christmas and i got a chance to take it out and play this morning.

These are the results.  Not awesome but they will get better over time.

Cheeky kids.

The day would be incomplete without a clip with the kids. Enjoy.

Cold gear in use.

All photos here are courtesy of Sal of http://rightspotattherighttime.blogspot.com/

Morning air temperature has been between 43 and 48 degrees on the worst mornings and the water is a "warm" 55-60 degrees.

Now you know the African in me cannot stand that for too long hence the new gear!

Sooo toasty!

South-Side

can you see the Napster logo under my board?  I wonder if i should be paid?

Gear to combat the cold.

I had to get a new beanie and gloves to combat the cold ocean temperatures that we have been having recently.
Luke found a way to model the beanie and gloves.

Wishing all a very happy new year.
I took these pics this morning at 06h45 when the sun was trying to peek through the clouds. The resulting colors were spectacular.

Last of the Mohicans.

One of my favorite movies was 'Last of the Mohicans'.

This mohawk haircut on Luke takes me back to that movie.

Enjoy and Happy Christmas Eve.

Watch out for SuperMom

Smita is indeed SuperMom.  The picture below was taken at her local gym where she is doing some amazing workouts!

So proud of you!!

Sunsets I Love - Manhattan Beach.

Luke's perfect day - Santa Monica Pier

We decided to spend the weekend after Thanksgiving away from the malls and shops to avoid the craziness so we headed to Santa Monica Pier.  This is Luke's ideal day and he loved it.  Laila on the other hand;not so much but she had her share of fun.

Don't let the look on Minni Mouse fool you.  She asked for a tip for taking a photo with Luke.

Laila "loved" this ride...NOT!

This was end of the ride...notice how she has no idea what she is in for.

Flatest spell ever

I went 2 weeks without surf and it was horrible. I'm back in the water now and Sal of http://rightspotattherighttime.blogspot.com did me the honors of capturing this sequence.
