It was a quick short visit but yes indeed Guuka(grandpa) was here.

It was so great to have my Daddy here and the kids really enjoyed
having him here too.

Joint Swim Session.

The kids had a joint swim session this past weekend due to an "accident" (someone pooped in the other pool).

So we had a rare occasion of both kids in the same swim lane with their instructors.

Laila has really improved and is so eager to jump in head first.

Luke is also making great strides in his pre-stroke class.

Just what the Doctor ordered.

I hadn't surfed in a while and I was beginning to feel sick and I suspect it was exactly because of a 'lack of surfing'.  So I did what the 'doctor' ordered and surfed and I feel 100% better.

Long Morning, Long Night, Sandy Eyes.

Hello February.
I worked from 10am yesterday  to 2am this morning.  When i woke up, I felt like I had sand in my eyes and had been in the octagon with an MMA fighter.  Fortunately my lovely wife let me sleep in a little and took the munchkins to school.

So I went out to get some real sand in my eyes after resting and Sal of rightspotattherighttime.blogspot.com did the honors of capturing these sequences.

Full Moon last Thursday.

I woke up really early to surf the huge swell this past week.

Unfortunately it wasn't as big as expected but this full moon didn't dissappoint.

GoPro HD - My new toy.

Cold gear in use.

Morning air temperature has been between 43 and 48 degrees on the worst mornings and the water is a "warm" 55-60 degrees.  

Now you know the African in me cannot stand that for too long hence the new gear!
