Changes!

So this week I tendered my resignation at my current workplace.
It was a suprisingly emotional experience. It is time to move on and this comes with the anxiety of change.
I am viewing this as a good and worthwhile business decision supported by my personal circumstances.
I am pretty confident that in 5 years i will look back and say it was all good. This is the process i have to go through to lay a foundation for my consulting practice.

My favorite vacation pictures.

hwii_image093

I have always wanted to post my favorite vacation pictures but never had the guts to. You see, the art of capturing time is something I dabbled in at an amateur level.

This specific one was taken in Hawaii in April 2004. I still cannot get over the combination of mountain, rainbow colors and the deep blue of the water.

I broke down and started a blog!

So I finaly broke down and started a blog.
I am one of those people that have resisted blogging for a while. I consider myself a techie but with a very conservative approach to adopting change. What an oxymoron.

I must say Tom Kyte's blog of http://tkyte.blogspot.com/ and the much used and abused (by me) website http://asktom.oracle.com was the straw that broke my proverbial back. Pretty good job Tom, you are my Oracle Guru!

I figure, I should be able to chart my rants, ravings and random thoughts and be able to look back years from today and ponder on them further with more rants, ravings and less random thought.

Being a huge fan of documentation and not actually one that enjoys the task, I figure this should serve as a kind of log as in (b)log of events as they occur.

So with those few words (or not so few) here I go diving into the world of bloggers.
